Ipswich plays host to Buxton at Portman Road for this second round match in the FA Cup. The home team are currently in League One and are enjoying a stellar season as they are second on the table with 41 points, just two points behind leaders Plymouth. The visitors are currently plying their trade in the National League North where they are in 18th position with 21 points. Ipswich are coming off a disappointing 2-0 home loss to Portsmouth in the EFL Trophy. They have lost twice in their last six matches across all competitions with three wins and a draw. Ipswich have however been excellent at home, losing just twice in their last 11 matches. They had a fantastic win in the first round of this competition when they swept aside another non-league side Bracknell 3-0.

Buxton are looking for an improvement in form as they lost 4-2 to Blyth in their last match which saw them eliminated form the EFL Trophy. They will be desperate to avoid being knocked out in two Cup competitions within the space of six days. Buxton came through a tough qualifying competition to make the main draw and scored an impressive 2-0 over Merthyr Town in the first round of this competition. They have lost their last three matches across all competitions and will not find it any easier as they face a team three leagues higher than them. Buxton have won four of their last six away matches.
