Ipswich Town vs Burnley Prediction & Betting Tips - FA Cup
by Devesh Jaganath | in FA Cup Predictions
The fourth round of the FA Cup will take center stage this weekend, where we will see Burnley travel to Portman Road to take on League One Ipswitch Town on Saturday afternoon. The visitors have been incredible so far this season and have emerged as the runaway leaders in the Championship, along with Sheffield United, 18 points clear of third-placed Watford. Burnley has managed 62 points in 28 league matches this season, and it would take an absolute disaster to see them not make an immediate return to the Premier League from their current position. In their last match, Burney was made to work hard but managed to come from behind to trump West Brom 2-1 in the end. Burnley has recorded 10 wins in their last 11 matches in all competitions, with the solitary loss to Man United in the FA Cup before Christmas. Burnley made a few changes in their 4-2 win in the last round over Bournemouth and is likely to do the same in this match. However, they have enough class in their side to expect to come away with a comfortable win in this one.
Ipswitch has been stumbling in League One in recent weeks, managing just one win in their last five, along with a loss and three draws. However, that win came in the last match with a 4-0 victory over Morecambe and will serve as a result that the home side will hope they can build on to regain a spot in the top two places. Their recent dip in form has seen Ipswitch fall to third place in the league, four behind Sheffield Wednesday and seven off Plymouth Argyle at the top. Ipswitch overcame Rotherham United in their last round 4-1, but will know that they face a much tougher opposition, which has already knocked out a Premier League side from the competition.
