Inter Milan vs Lecce Prediction & Betting Tips - Serie A

Inter Milan will play their first home match of the season on Saturday evening when they play host to Lecce in the Serie A. Nerazzurri are currently in seventh place after week one, while Giallorossi are at the foot of the table. Check out our match prediction below. 

Inter Milan would have entered this season brimming with confidence after breaking clear of the pack and surging to the league title last term, almost 20 points clear of the side in second. 

However, Nerazzurri were not at their absolute best in last week’s season-opener, as they only managed a 2-2 draw away to Genoa with Marcus Thuram scoring both goals for the defending champions. 

The hosts will now be playing in front of their home crowd for the first time this season and they were excellent at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza last term, losing only one of their 19 games while winning 14 and drawing four. 

Meanwhile, Lecce’s season got off to the worst-possible start they could have imagined, as they slumped to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Atalanta on their home patch. 

Last season, Giallorossi ended the campaign very poorly as well, failing to win any of their final five Serie A matches. Following last week’s result, they have now failed to score a goal in their last four top-flight games. 

On the road, the visitors managed just two wins in 19 games last term (W2 D8 L9). Notably, those victories were against Salernitana and Sassuolo, who finished last and second-last in the league standings.
