Inter really should be leading in this Champions League semi-final. The first leg ended 3-3 in Barcelona but the Serie A side led 2-0 and 3-2 in that match. The Black and Blues will aim to get a lead and keep it in this second leg against Barca. Here's our match prediction.
The Italian side will be wishing the away goals rule was still in place after scoring three in Spain. It's not though and that makes the task of reaching their second Champions League final in three years remains a tough one. As you will read in the form guide of this preview, Inter have been struggling for results in the past few weeks. They must have had their confidence boosted by how the first leg progressed.
Barcelona have lost two away games in this season's Champions League. That includes the second leg of their quarter-final against Borussia Dortmund. Barca last reached the final of this competition ten years ago. They would have loved to be arriving in Milan with a lead but after going 2-0 down in the first leg, a 3-3 draw was a good result in the end. They remain on course for a treble of winning La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League.

Inter Milan - Barcelona: Form Analysis
Barcelona have been showing plenty of fight in their last three games. The La Liga side haven't had much choice as they have trailed in each of those matches. The most recent occurrence was at the weekend when they came from behind to win 2-1 at Real Valladolid.
That victory kept them seven points clear at the top of La Liga. The win also extended their unbeaten run to five games since losing 3-1 at Borussia Dortmund in the last round of the 2024-25 Champions League.
The loss in Germany is their only away loss in 18 games and nine of the last ten have been won. They have won four away matches in this season's Champions League but lost at Monaco and Dortmund.
Inter have ended their winless run.
The weekend saw Inter beat Verona 1-0 at home. That ended a run of five matches without a win. It wasn't the most convincing of wins though and their winner came from the penalty spot after just nine minutes.
That win did keep them in touch with Serie A leaders Napoli but they are still three points behind the leaders.
The Black and Blues have won five of their six games, the other being the 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich in the last eight. They are unbeaten in their last seven games in this competition but drawn the last two.

Inter Milan & Barcelona Squad Analysis
Inter have received a massive blow to their hopes of reaching the Champions League final. Top scorer Lautaro Martinez is out of this match after injuring his hamstring in last week's first leg. He has scored eight goals in this season's Champions League, including four in the last three at home.
Marko Arnautovic or Mehdi Taremi are expected to be his replacement. Marcus Thuram will be even more on his shoulders on Tuesday and he will hope to score again as he did in the first leg.
Inter overindulged in their squad rotation for that weekend win over Verona. That was a big risk considering they are still very much in the hunt for the Serie A title. Hakan Calhanoglu missed that game through suspension but the influential midfielder will be back for this game. They will be looking for more goals from Denzel Dumfries who scored two of Inter's goals in the first leg.
Barcelona also went down the squad rotation route at the weekend. Raphinha started on the bench but with his side losing, Hansi Flick brought him on after 46 minutes and he scored just eight minutes later.
Lewandowski may feature in this match.
Raphinha has scored 12 goals in this season's Champions League but has failed to score in his last two. Robert Lewandowski has 11 Champions League goals this season and could be on the bench for this game after recovering from his recent injury.
