The Houston Astros won the World Series last year but their dreams of retaining that title are in deep trouble. They won the American League West Division finishing 103-59 and that took them into the Division Series where they won three straight games againt Cleveland Indians to reach the American League Championship Series where they face Boston Red Sox in a best of seven matches series with the winners going into the World Series final against either LA Dodgers or Millwaukee Brewers.

Houston got off to a good start in this series winning the first match 7-2 but it's been all downhill since then. Boston leveled the scores at 1-1 with a 7-5 win and then took the lead with a convincing 8-2 victory. A crucial fourth match resulted in an 8-6 win for Boston and with a 3-1 lead, Houston need to win the final three matches if they want to reach the World Series. Boston have certainly been in form after qualifying for this post season by winning the American League East with a 108-54 finish. They beat the New York Yankees 3-1 including a 16-2 win wheere Brock Holt became the first player to hit for the cycle (scoring a single, double, triole and home run in the same game) in the MLB post season.  Boston are the team in form and can get the win that takes them into the World Series.
