HJK will seek to earn their first victory of this season’s Europa Conference League group stages when they host Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday. After three matches, HJK sit bottom in Group G while Frankfurt are second. HJK need to win here if they are to stand any chance of making it to the knockout rounds. A third loss will mean the end of their European campaign as their next two matches will be dead rubber games. HJK haven’t played since losing the reverse match against Frankfurt a fortnight ago. This is due to the conclusion of the Finnish domestic campaign just days prior to that 6-0 thumping. Toni Korkeakunnas’ men won the Veikkausliiga for a fourth successive season. HJK haven’t won in their last four outings and have lost three successive fixtures.

Eintracht Frankfurt got back to winning ways in Group G in sublime fashion last time out. Their emphatic victory over HJK saw them move to six points in the group, five more than their closest challengers. Another victory against their struggling hosts could see them secure qualification with games to spare. Dino Toppmoller’s men haven’t lost in five matches with four of those ending in victory. Frankfurt have won their last two matches. Saturday's 3-0 win over Union Berlin moved them to within a point of the European places in the Bundesliga.
