Heart of Midlothian FC and Dundee FC meet for the third time this season. Both sides will exchange blows in the Scottish Cup quarterfinal at Tynecastle Stadium. Hearts are the fourth most successful club in this competition with 8 trophies collected. This will be their fourth successive appearance in the quarterfinals. Here's our match prediction. 

Heart of Midlothian saw their winning run in the Scottish Premiership end at two matches after losing 2-1 against Hibernian over the weekend.

Hearts return to Tynecastle Stadium aiming to get back to winning ways. This is the same venue that has seen them lose just two of their last seven matches (W4, D1).

Regarding their performance in the Scottish Cup, Neil Critchley's men secured two consecutive wins, including a 4-2 penalty shootout triumph against St. Mirren in the last 16 to book their spot in the quarterfinals. 

Meanwhile, Dundee FC will view the Scottish Cup as a "much-needed escape" from their poor performance in the Scottish Premiership. 

The visitors are winless in four league games recording three losses and a recent 1-1 home draw against St. Johnstone. During this period, eight goals were conceded while answering for four.

The Dark Blues booked their spot in the Scottish Cup quarterfinals thanks to a commanding 4-0 home win over second-tier Airdrieonians. The last time they reached the quarter-finals they lost 3-0 at home against Rangers FC in 2022.
