K-League action continues on Friday afternoon with Gwangju FC set to take on Seoul FC at the Gwangju World Cup Stadium. The Gwangju Griffins are in sixth place in the league standings, while the Dark Red Warriors are right behind them in seventh. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

Gwangju have made a mixed start to the season, now on 24 points in 17 games, including a record of six wins, six draws and five defeats to date. 

The Griffins played out a 1-1 draw away to Daegu last week, extending their winless run in the league to three games. They have only won one of their last five in the top flight (W1 D2 L2).

After winning four of their first five games at home this season, the hosts are now winless in their last three (D1 L2) and failed to score in two of those matches. 

Meanwhile, Seoul have struggled for consistency over the first 17 games, posting a record of five wins, seven draws and five defeats for their 22 points. 

The Dark Red Warriors suffered a 3-1 loss to Jeju FC last time out, which ended their five-match unbeaten run and was the first time they conceded more than one goal since the end of April. 

Notably, the visitors have been better on the road than at home this season, with 13 of their 22 points coming on their travels (W3 D4 L2). They have also kep clean sheets in each of their last three outings.
