We are back at the Chase Center on Friday night for Game 6 in the NBA Playoff series between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets. The Rockets beat the Warriors in Game 5 in midweek but still trail 3-2 in the series. Let’s get into the match prediction. 

The Golden State Warriors had an opportunity to put the series to bed on Wednesday, but they were completely outplayed at the Toyota Center and suffered a 131-116 defeat. 

The defensive level that Golden State showed in the previous match went completely missing in Game 5, as they allowed 76 points in the first half and were down by 27 at the break. They were never able to catch up from there on. 

The Warriors also had a poor shooting night, with only one of their starters, Stephen Curry, finishing with double digits. GSW need a massive improvement here, or the Rockets can level and will have the home advantage in Game 7. 

Meanwhile, at 3-1 down, many had written off the Houston Rockets, but this young team showed their heart in the last match and now have the momentum coming into this crucial game. 

While Fred VanVleet led the scoring for Houston with 26 points, Amen Thompson had an outstanding game at both ends, putting up 25 points and six rebounds, while also picking up five steals. 

The only thing the Rockets would want to improve from the last match would likely be the contributions from their bench, as none of their non-starters managed to finish in double-digits.
