Fifth-placed Bristol Bears will travel to face ninth-placed Gloucester Rugby in this Premiership Rugby round four clash on Friday. Can the Bears overcome the Cherry and Whites to maintain their impressive start to the campaign? Here is our prediction.

Gloucester Rugby suffered a 38-17 to Bath last week. They drew 10-10 in the second half but a 21-point deficit at the break saw them fall to the defending champions. 

This result saw the Gloucester club collapse to their fourth straight defeat this season, including three consecutive losses in the league. They are also winless in both of their home matches this season and have lost four of their last six meetings with Bristol Bears. 

Bristol Bears bounced back from their round-two defeat to edge out Exeter Chiefs last week. The Bears rallied from a six-point deficit at the break to stun the Exeter-based rival with 10 unanswered points in the second half. 

They have not been impressive on the road lately, but have won two of their three league matches this term. Pat Lam’s side also boasts a strong record in their last six encounters with Gloucester Rugby.
