Gil Vicente, currently 14th in the Primeira Liga, will face ninth-placed Casa Pia on the final day of the season this Saturday. The hosts are on 34 points, eight clear of the relegation scrap, while the visitors have managed 41 and trail the top six teams by ten points. Gil Vicente lost their last match 1-0 to Vitoria Guimaraes last week. They are safe this season, but their survival run was anything but comfortable, especially in the closing weeks. Over their last six matches, the hosts only managed one win while conceding five defeats. Their home record has been average this season, with five wins, six draws, and five losses in 16 matches at Estadio Cidade de Barcelos this term. However, they did only suffer one loss in their last nine matches at home, along with four draws and four wins. The hosts have fallen a long way from the top-five finish they achieved last term but will want to end this season on a good note by picking up a win in this one. 

Meanwhile, Casa Pia will be delighted with their effort this season. The visitors showed heaps of character in their first season back in the Primeira Liga, and they will desperately want to hold on to a top-half finish. The visitors were excellent on the road early in the season and were unbeaten after their first four away matches; however, it’s been a different story since the World Cup break. Casa Pia have failed to win any of their last nine away matches, losing seven and drawing just two. The last time they won on the road was in December last year. The visitors lost 3-1 to this opponent in the reverse fixture and will want to get their revenge on them here. However, with extremely poor away form, a win for the visitors here looks a little unlikely.
