Getafe had a false start to their 2026/27 La Liga campaign and will look to bounce back when hosting newly promoted Racing Santander. Racing also had their level of disappointment from matchday one and will be targeting the full complement of three points. With three wins at home in the last five league games, our prediction will back Getafe.
In their opening round game, Getafe had a timid performance and were duly thrashed 3-0 by Alaves. However, returning home, they recovered swiftly in Europe as they beat Partizan 3-1 in the Conference League in midweek.
Getafe will be happy to host this game, looking to win three straight home matches in La Liga and four overall.
Racing Santander had a flying start on their return to La Liga, but that couldn’t even last one half. Playing host to Champions League-bound Villarreal, Santander raced to a 2-0 lead, but that was swiftly canceled.
In the end, they kept a point in a 2-2 draw and will be looking to do better here. The visitors are unbeaten in nine competitive matches, winning six, which gives them the confidence needed for this encounter.
