Group F in the UEFA Europa Conference League will get underway, with Genk playing host to Fiorentina on Thursday evening. Meanwhile, Fiorentina bounced back from a crushing defeat against Inter Milan to beat Atlanta 3-2 over the weekend. With that win, they are now up to eighth place in Serie A with seven points, five behind the current league leaders. The visitors were made to work for their place in this competition in qualifying. They lost their first-leg qualifier 1-0 to Rapid Vienna but managed to come back with a 2-0 win a week later at home to win the tie 2-1 on aggregate. Fiorentina reached the final of this competition last season but were beaten 2-1 by West Ham United. Viola will be determined to challenge for the title again and will be looking to get their 2023-24 campaign off to a winning start here.
