Gabriel Clemens and Alex Spellman will face off in the final match on Day 3 at the 2026 PDC World Darts Championship. The winner of this match between the German Giant and The Jackal will meet either Wessel Nijman or Karel Sedlacek in the second round. Let’s get into the match prediction.
Gabriel Clemens is now a regular attendee at the World Championships. His best performance was reaching the semi-final in 2021, where he beat Gerwyn Price 5-1 en route to the final four.
The German Giant has not won a televised title this year, but did make a semi-final appearance at the Players Championship 16. He’s struggled in large to maintain consistency in 2025.
Clemens was beaten by Josh Rock 6-3 in the first round of the PC finals and has only won three of his last 10 matches across all competitions.
Meanwhile, Alex Spellman qualified for the Ally Pally by winning the 2025 CDC Continental Cup. This is his second appearance at the World Championship - he lost in the first round on debut in 2024.
Winning the CDC Continental Cup also earned him entry to the Grand Slam of Darts for the first time, but he exited in the group stage, losing to Nathan Aspinall and Michael Smith.
Spellman has been in poor form in the lead-up to this competition, currently on a six-match losing streak in all competitions. This is the first time he will face Clemens.

Our Gabriel Clemens vs Alex Spellman Prediction
Alex Spellman is returning to the Ally Pally this year, but his form of late has been way off the mark, as he has lost each of his last six matches in all competitions and failed to win more than two sets in any of those games.
Indeed, Gabriel Clemens has not been in the best shape recently either, but he did beat Damon Heta and Brendan Dolan at PC 34 and 33, respectively, in the last two months. This could be a close contest, but we fancy the German to progress. Our Gabriel Clemens vs Alex Spellman prediction is Gabriel Clemens wins.
