It’s a London derby this weekend in the Premier League as Fulham welcome West Ham to Craven Cottage on Saturday. The hosts are 10th in the table, while their opponents are 15th and only out of the drop zone on goal difference. It wasn’t long ago when Fulham were one of the outsiders to push for a European spot, but things have gone downhill for them. Three straight losses in the league, including a 2-1 defeat at Bournemouth last weekend plus a long ban for Mitrovic has hit them hard. The Cottagers have now won just two matches since mid-January across nine league matches. While the home form isn’t that bad, but only a win from their last four Premier League matches indicate that Fulham haven’t been able to stamp their mark here.

West Ham are in no better shape starting this round perilously close to the relegation zone. The 5-1 drubbing at the hands of Newcastle added to their relegation worries as the  Hammers have now won just two of their last eight Premier League matches. They badly need to improve their away league form with just six points and only seven goals scored. They have lost six of their last eight away league matches. The only thing working in their favour is their record against Fulham. The visitors have won four and drawn one of their last five Premier League matches against Fulham. With the sword of relegation hanging around, they could push themselves for a point on this trip.
