23rd seed Francisco Cerundolo takes on the qualifier Filip Misolic for a place in round three at Roland Garros. Cerundolo reached a career-best last 16 of this outdoor clay court tournament last year and is 28th in the live rankings, a place lower than in the latest list. In the ATP Race, the Argentinian is in 30th place before Wednesday's matches are played. The winner of this match will be up against either 14th seed Tommy Paul or unseeded Fabio Fognini in round three. Cerundolo has spent most of his 2024 season playing on clay and has reached two quarter-finals and a semi-final in Rio. Round one was a struggle with him having to come from two sets down to get past lucky loser Otto Virtanen. It was a good comeback with only nine games lost in the final three sets.
