Still locked level, FCSB and Aberdeen will resume battle in the second leg of their Europa League Playoff qualifier clash on Thursday in Bucharest. The winner of this tie between the Red and Blues and the Dons will enter the main draw, while the loser will be transferred to the Conference League. Let’s get into the match prediction.

The Aberdeen faithful proved the power of the 12th man and roared their side to a stunning comeback from two down to 2-2 last week. 

The Dons fired 28 shots at goal and had 72% possession. Dante Polvara scored in the 61st minute before Ester Sokler sent the home fans into raptures in the final minute of regulation time. 

The challenge now is whether the Reds can get the job done on the road, where their record is far from impressive, with four defeats in their last five competitive away games.

Meanwhile, FCSB contributed heavily to their own downfall last week, as they played almost a full hour with 10 men after Juri Cisotti was shown red for a poor tackle.

However, from a neutral’s perspective, it was a questionable call by the referee and ultimately cost them a lead coming into this leg, as they faded in the closing moments, being a man light last week. 

While FCSB are expected to be better at home this week, they have been awful at the National Arena, losing four of their last five matches here across all competitions.
