The hosts are currently seventh in the standings though that could have changed by the time they play while Cagliari are bottom. Fiorentina haven’t lost in their last four matches and they will seek to extend this by piling more misery on Cagliari. Vincenzo Italiano’s men have won twice in this unbeaten stretch with both victories coming in the league. A win eluded them though last time out as they conceded late to share the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Frosinone. The Viola are currently just one point adrift of the top four after amassing 11 points thanks to three wins and two draws.

Cagliari are one of three teams yet to register a win this season in the league. Claudio Ranieri’s men have lost four of their six matches with two of those defeats coming away from home. The Islanders were defeated 3-1 last time out by AC Milan at home. A lack of goals has greatly impacted their return to the top flight. They have managed only two strikes so far. Cagliari haven’t won against Fiorentina since an impressive 5-2 victory back in 2019. They have lost twice in the five matches since then with both defeats coming away from home.
