Fenerbahce's 16-match unbeaten run finally came to an end in their last outing against Besiktas in their Turkish Cup opener. Vaclav Cerny took the hosts' defense to the cleaners, scoring in both halves to secure a deserved 2–0 away victory for Besiktas.
Domenico Tedesco's men will look to put that shock result behind them as they line up against Samsunspor on Tuesday. They have won three of their last four matches and are unbeaten in their last six meetings with Samsunspor.
Samsunspor finally snapped their prolonged eight-match winless run with a 2–1 victory over Eyupspor in their Turkish Cup opener. Chad forward Marius and Turkish midfielder Soner Aydogdu's first-half goals were enough to secure maximum three points for the hosts.
