Felix Auger Aliassime vs Flavio Cobolli Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Acapulco Open

World number 30 Felix Auger-Aliassime is back in Acapulco and will battle qualifier Flavio Cobolli in the first round. The winner will then set up a showdown with either Roman Safiullin or Stefanos Tsitsipas for a quarterfinal berth. Felix Auger-Aliassime is coming off a second-round exit in Rotterdam. He has had two weeks to refuel since his last match and will be confident of a winning start here. The Canadian hasn’t lost an opening-round tie in the last four tournaments he has contested. He has however battled with a lack of consistency and has won only one more match than the five he has lost. The 23-year-old has competed at the Mexican Open twice before. He made the quarterfinals in 2021 which is the last time he took part in this event.

Flavio Cobolli is having a better season than Auger-Aliassime in matters wins and has so far compiled a 14-5 record. Twelve of his wins have come on hard courts. Five of those wins came in his run to the third round in Melbourne as a qualifier. This was his best-ever result at a Grand Slam and is arguably his best result so far this season. The Italian is making his debut in Acapulco and has won both his qualifiers in three sets. He defeated Constant Lestienne in his last match which lasted slightly over two hours. Both his qualifiers took two hours to conclude and coming up against a well-rested Auger-Aliassime is going to be a tough outing. Cobolli has gradually moved up the ATP world rankings. He is now up four places to 64th in the live ranking, a new career high.
