The Dundee Derby will brace our screens for the second time this season as Dundee FC and Dundee United square off at Dens Park in the 140th edition of the Scottish Cup. This will be the second meeting between these two sides since their last meeting in the 2012/13 season where Dundee United emerged 2-1 victors in the quarter-finals. Here's our match prediction. 

Dundee FC has not advanced past the fourth round of the Scottish Cup in the past two editions, losing to St. Mirren and Kilmarnock. They will be hoping for better results this time.

Dee's best appearance in this competition was in the 2021/22 season when they reached the quarter-finals for the first time in six years. 

However, they lost 3-0 to Rangers FC, crowned champions that year after beating Hearts 2-0 in extra time. 

Dundee United who secured their promotion from the 2023/24 Scottish Championship season have had a sensational start to the Scottish Premiership campaign this time.

The Terrors are on course for a top-three finish having amassed 37 points in 23 games leaving them in third place in the league standings. 

Coming into this match, they boast four wins in their last six games. Their last match in this competition when they were a championship side saw them lose 4-3 on penalties to Queen of the South after a 2-2 draw in regulation time.
