Espanyol will bid to overturn the one-goal deficit from the first leg against Real Oviedo when the sides meet in the second leg of the Segunda Division play-off final on Sunday.

The RCDE Stadium, or the Stage Front Stadium in Catalonia, will play host to this exciting fixture that will decide who will play in La Liga next season. Oviedo carried a slender 1-0 lead from the first leg win last week, with a 72nd goal from Alemao. Incidentally, that was Espanyol’s first defeat since early February, and they couldn’t have gotten the timing worse.

The home fans will be happy to be playing at this venue, looking at their recent record, which has been very impressive. Espanyol haven’t been beaten here since their first match in 2024, winning six and drawing five matches hence.
