Elena Rybakina vs Jelena Ostapenko Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA French Open

Fresh from her winning the Strasbourg title last week, Elena Rybakina is going well at Roland Garros. The 12th seed takes on 21st-seeded Jelena Ostapenko for a place in round four of this outdoor clay court Grand Slam. Time for our match prediction.

The winner of this match will be up against either defending champion Iga Swiatek or Jaqueline Cristian in the last 16. Rybakina is the world number 11 and has reached the last eight in Paris twice, including last year.

The Strasbourg title was her fourth WTA Tour success on clay.  Round one at Roland Garros saw her need three sets to get past Julia Riera. That was followed by a smoother straight sets win over Iva Jovic.

World number 21 Jelena Ostapenko won her first two matches against Rybakina but has lost the last three. Rybakina won their only meeting on clay.

Ostapenko won the indoor clay tournament played in Stuttgart this year and had wins over Navarro, Swiatek and Sabalenka. The fourth round was also reached in Rome by the 27-year-old who won this title in 2017 but hasn't got past round three since.

This week has seen her beat Polina Kudermetova and Caroline Dolehide but had to come from a set down in both matches.
