Elche will be out to do the impossible as they aim to stun La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in the Copa Del Rey round of 16 at Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero. Will the 10-time Copa champions emerge triumphant or will second-tier Elche cause a major upset at home? Here's our match prediction. 

Elche is pushing for automatic promotion to La Liga since their last appearance in the 2022-23 season. They are tied on points with third-placed Racing Santander in the Segunda Division and are three points off the summit. 

Los Franjiverdes made it three wins in a row in the Segunda Division following a narrow 1-0 home win against Real Zaragoza over the weekend.

Eder Sarabia's men now turn their attention to the Copa del Rey, where they booked their spot in the last 16 courtesy of a 1-0 win over Las Palmas.

Atletico Madrid head into this clash boasting a 14-match winning streak across all competitions since a 1-0 defeat against Real Betis on October 27. 

The most recent of those wins was a 1-0 home league win against Osasuna on Sunday. That win helped maintain their one-point lead at the top of La Liga standings. 

The Red-Whites also tasted success in this competition, beating Marbella 1-0 away from home in the round of 32, and will be eyeing a similar outcome here.
