The Ipurua plays host to an intriguing LaLiga2 matchup, as Eibar take on Real Oviedo. The hosts are currently fourth while Oviedo are situated in fourteenth place. Eibar claimed a great win against second-placed Burgos in midweek, while it is hard to decide if the victory is more impressive than the two goals they managed to put past Burgos’ impressive defence. It is now just one defeat in nine for the hosts, who are a mere two points away from leaders Las Palmas, in an extremely heated battle at the top of the standings. Even more impressive than their recent results is Eibar’s home record. The Ipurua has been practically a fortress of late, with the home side remaining unbeaten in each of their last eleven encounters there, keeping clean sheets in five of those. Their home record against Real Oviedo has also been phenomenal, with Eibar claiming victories without conceding in four of their last five meetings there. 

Real Oviedo might be in the lower echelons of the LaLiga2 table, yet they will not remain there if they keep up their recent upward trajectory. Their latest 0-0 draw with leaders Las Palmas extended their unbeaten streak to six games, while they have kept clean sheets in four of those. On the downside however, their recent record on the road has not been the best. Besides beating Tenerife in their latest away encounter, Real Oviedo are winless in seven of their last eight, only managing to beat lower tier side Torrelavega in extra time. To make matters worse, their record when visiting Eibar has been poor, failing to win in all of their previous eight outings there.
