The Women’s Nations League is back and among the teams in action, Scotland and Germany will be facing off in Group 1 of League A. Heading into this match, hosts Scotland are bottom of the standings with Germany top. We have a prediction below.

For the Scots so far, it has been a tough start, losing both their opening matches. First, they fell 1-0 in Austria then 2-1 at home to the Netherlands.

Facing the third ranked nation in world football next doesn’t guarantee an easier outing. This will be the first of two matches against Germany, which calls for Scotland to be at their absolute best.

A four-game winless run places them firmly as underdogs.

Germany, on the other hand, had a fairly good start to the campaign. From their two matches in February, they collected four points.

They started off with a 2-2 draw with the Netherlands, coming from behind to lead 2-1 before relinquishing the lead. On matchday two, they also had to come from a goal down but this time did well to beat Austria 4-1 at home.

That was their third undefeated game in competitive action and they come here as outright favorites. That, and the fact that they’ve never lost to Scotland in the previous five matches between them points to a one-sided game ahead.
