12th seeded Jelena Ostapenka is yet to lose a set in this tournament but has yet to meet a seeded player. Last year saw her win the French Open and this is her second straight Wimbledon quarter final losing to Venus Williams in 2017. The last three Grand Slam tournaments have seen her fail to get past the third round stage.Ostapenka reached the quarter final of the Eastbourne grass tournament this year but didn't get a win over anyone ranked above 28. March saw her lose to Sloane Stephens in the final of the Miami Open and on her day she is capable of beating the best in the game.

Dominika Cibulkova was ranked as high as 4th in the world last March but has slipped down to 33 coming into this tournament.  It's been a disappointing year or so for her with two first round defeats in the two Grand Slams held this year and in the last 12 Grand Slam tournaments her only quarter final was here at Wimbledon in 2016. This is her third Wimbledon quarter final but never has she made it to the last four.  Her best performance this year was losing in the final of a hard court tournament in Budapest but she didn't beat anyone ranked above 67. The past week has seen a massive improvement though having beaten two seeds and not dropping a set so far. This is her toughest test though but she has won her two previous matches against Ostapenko including one here in 2016. Go for the upsets to continue and bet on Cibulkova getting through to the semi-final.
