We’re into the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League with Swedish side Djurgardens hosting Austrian club Rapid Wien for this first leg matchup. Who will get the early upper hand in this clash between the Iron Stoves and the Green-Whites? Let’s get into the match prediction!

A meeting with either bookmakers’ favorites Chelsea or Legia Warsaw awaits the winner of this tie in the semi-final.

Djurgardens overturned a 1-0 first leg deficit against Pafos in the round of 16 owing to a brilliant 3-0 home victory in the return leg. Since that win, however, they have struggled. Djurgardens lost the next two in a row before a 1-0 away win over Sirius in their last outing snapped the losing streak.

That result marked only the second win in the last six competitive fixtures for the hosts.

Rapid Wien advanced by way of a 3-2 aggregate win over Borac in the previous round. They had to go to extra time after both legs finished 1-1 after 90 minutes. However, they would find the winning goal through captain Louis Schuab in the 96th minute.

Rapid Wien come into this first leg away fixture off the back of two straight losses in the Austrian top flight, the most recent of which finished in a 2-0 defeat to Sturm Graz.
