David Goffin vs Cameron Norrie Prediction & Betting Tips - Wimbledon Qualification, England

For the first time since 2016, Britain has a player in the Wimbledon men's singles quarter finals. Ninth seeded Cameron Norrie takes on the unseeded David Goffin for a place in the last four. The winner will play either Novak Djokovic or Jannik Sinner in the semi-finals. Norrie is in his first ever Grand Slam quarter final. He's had success in other tournaments with two wins this year and last year, winning the Indian Wells title. Success in Grand Slam events has eluded him. He may be the British number one but hasn't been the centre of attention in the media. Now he is though after reaching this quarter final. Wins have come over Pablo Andujar, Jaume Munar, Steve Johnson and 30th seeded Tommy Paul. Only in the second round against Munar has he dropped sets. That was a battle for him as Norrie had to come from two sets to one down to progress.

David Goffin is in his second Wimbledon quarter final, the other being three years ago.. The Belgian has seen his ranking go up and down like a yo-yo. He's been as high as 39th this year. That's the up, he was as low as 74th at one stage. Five years ago, he was ranked seventh but arrived at Wimbledon in 58th position. One tournament has been won by the Belgian this year. That was on clay in Marrakech. Just the one warm-up tournament on grass was played. That was in Halle and he drew world number one Daniil Medvedev and lost in straight sets. He's been playing well at Wimbledon though with wins over Radu Albot, 31st seed Sebastian Baez (losing just seven games) Ugo Humbert (in four sets) and a marathon five-setter against 23rd seed Frances Tiafoe that saw 59 games played. Norrie can be backed to win this and a bet on a tie-break looks a possible winner.
