Danielle Collins vs Iga Swiatek Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Australian Open

After Ashleigh Barty, Iga Swiatek is the highest seed left in the Australian Open women's singles tournament. The seventh seed takes on Danielle Collins (seeded 27th) for a place in the final, where the winner will face either Barty or Madison Keys. Swiatek is trying to make it to her second Grand Slam final. The other was when winning the 2019 French Open. Since then, Swiatek has regularly reached the last 16 of Grand Slams but this is the first time she's got this far away from Paris. Swiatek is up to fourth in the live rankings, that's equalled her highest ever career ranking. This is her second tournament of the year, the other was in Adelaide and saw her lose to Barty in the semi-finals. So far in this tournament, only Sorana Cirstea and Kaia Kanepi have taken sets off her.

Danielle Collins will hope this match goes better than her only previous match against Swiatek. That was in Adelaide last year and she lost, when retiring in the second set having won only a couple of games. World ranked 30th, the American is up to 14th in the live rankings. A win over Swiatek will take her up to 10th place. This is her second time in the Australian Open semi-finals, the other being three years ago. Collins didn't play any warm-up events, her last tournament was in late 2021 wen getting to the last four in Linz. Collins has only lost two sets so far in this tournament. Clara Tauson and Elise Mertens both won sets against her but in the quarter final, Collins beat Elize Cornet in straight sets. Swiatek is in good form and she can beat Collins to reach her second Grand Slam final. Don't be surprised if it takes her three sets though.
