British wild card Daniel Evans takes on unseeded Miomir Kecmanovic in round one at Eastbourne. There's a tough match for the winner of this grass court match with second seed Tommy Paul being the scheduled opponent. Read our match prediction below.

Evans is 170th in the live rankings but the 35-year-old has been as high as 21st in the rankings two years ago. He's never made it past the third round at Wimbledon. On grass this year, Evans has won four of his seven matches played in three tournaments. He is yet to get past round two though.

Three of his last five matches have seen three sets played. His one previous best-of-three sets match against Kecmanovic saw both players win a set. That also happened in their only other match played at Roland Garros.

Miomir Kecmanovic is 49th in the live rankings but is struggling for form at present with five of his last six matches being lost. He played in the Halle grass court tournament last week but lost in round one to Fabian Marozsan in three sets.

The 25-year-old has twice reached the third round at Wimbledon. Six of his last eight matches have seen both players win a set. We go for this to go to a final set.
