The first round of the Miami Masters sees Alexander Shevchenko face Daniel Elahi Galan. In the second round of this outdoor hard court tournament, the winner will be up against the eighth seed Hubert Hurkacz. Shevchenko is 58th in the latest world ranking list and three places higher in the Live ATP Race. He'll be hoping for a better tournament than in Indian Wells. He won his first round match but then had to retire against Francisco Cerundolo. He's reached two quarter finals this year, both on hard courts but played indoors in Montpellier and Marseille. Only one of his last five matches has been won so he needs to recapture the form that he showed earlier this year.

Daniel Elahi Galan is in 84th place in the ranking list that was published on Monday. He's been struggling this year and at the time of writing this preview was down in 126th place in the Live ATP Race. Galan has only had two wins in the main draws of ATP Tour tournaments this year. One of those came on clay in Buenos Aires but even on that surface he only won one of his three matches. Galan lost in the first round at Indian Wells and then played in the Challenger Tour event held in Phoenix. That didn't go well either as he lost in the second round. This is a tougher task for him and we tip Shevchenko to win this match and do so without dropping a set.
