Crystal Palace’s shaky run in the season persists; they are coming from a 4-0 hammering by Tottenham Hotspur and they will hope to make up for it with a home win over Southampton in the FA Cup. The two meet in one of the all-Premier League clashes lined up for the third round of this competition, with Palace currently on just one win in five games. The failure to score in the Spurs game marked four of five matches in which Patrick Vieira’s team has gone goalless and partly the result three of their last five games have ended in under 2.5 goals. They come into this game on three straight away losses and having failed to score in four of their last seven away matches. They are winless in the last three meetings with Crystal Palace, the last two having ended in defeats. In their earlier meeting this season, Odsonne Edouard scored the lone goal as Palace claimed three points in their league clash.
