Premier League proceedings resume at Selhurst Park this weekend, with Crystal Palace looking to protect their patch and punish a Brentford side buzzing with belief. The Eagles and the Bees are locked level on 13 points apiece and sit 10th and 11th in the league standings, respectively, after nine games. Let’s get into the match prediction!
After going six league games unbeaten at the start of the season, Crystal Palace are now in a must-win position, having failed to win any of their last three Prem matches. Two of those games ended in defeat (D1), which is as many as Oliver Glasner’s side lost in their preceding 19 games in the top flight.
Brentford, on the other hand, enter this clash riding a three-match win streak and will have fond memories of this opponent, having done the double over them in the Premier League last season. Despite that fact, the visitors are the underdogs in this one - let’s get into the key stats!

Crystal Palace - Brentford: Form Analysis
For a third time in just over three months, Crystal Palace got the better of Liverpool in midweek, beating the reigning league champions 3-0 to book their place in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup.
The Eagles will now look to carry that momentum back to the league competition, where they are winless in three (D1 L2), following a 1-0 defeat to this season’s front-runners Arsenal last weekend.
However, the hosts are still unbeaten in league games at Selhurst Park this season (W1 D3) and have not tasted defeat in the top flight here since mid-February when they lost 2-1 to Everton.
Brentford have scored 10 goals in their last three matches in all competitions!
Half of that tally came in midweek, when Keith Andrews’ side smashed Grimsby Town 5-0 to punch their ticket to the quarter-final of the EFL Cup for the fourth time in the last six years.
That result was also their biggest margin of victory in any competition since thumping Southampton by the same scoreline in January, and it followed a massive 3-2 win against Liverpool last weekend.
The visitors won their last away game, beating West Ham 2-0 at the London Stadium after the international break, but they had lost their first three league matches on the road this season before that.

Crystal Palace & Brentford Squad Analysis
Ismaila Sarr was the star of the show against the Reds in midweek, scoring twice in the space of five minutes to take his tally to five goals and an assist in eight domestic league and cup competition matches this season.
One player to watch this weekend is Jean-Philippe Mateta, who has scored 21 goals in 27 Premier League home games under Glasner. The Frenchman currently ranks second in the top-flight for xG per 90 minutes (0.9), only behind Erling Haaland.
Glasner confirmed in the week that Chris Richards will miss this match due to a calf injury, and he will be joined on the sidelines this week by Chadli Riad, Caleb Kporha and Cheick Doucoure.
Igor Thiago has scored six goals in nine Premier League games for Brentford this season!
The Brazilian striker slotted away a penalty against Liverpool last weekend and will be well-rested for this match, having been given the evening off against Grimsby in midweek.
Arsenal loanee Reiss Nelson has yet to make a Premier League appearance for the Bees this season, but that could change this weekend after he picked up a goal and an assist in midweek.
The visitors have six players on their injury list at present, including Josh Dasilva, Paris Maghoma, Aaron Hickey, Antoni Milambo, Yegor Yarmolyuk and Gustavo Nunes.
