It's the biggest night in the history of Cray Valley Paper Mills as they host League One Charlton Athletic in an FA Cup first round replay. The home side play in the Isthmian League South East Division and that's five levels below their opponents. The winners of this match will face either Gillingham away in round two. Cray Valley caused a big surprise when going to the Valley and getting a 1-1 draw at Charlton. The Millers went a goal down after just nine minutes but fought back to get a replay. They did need an own goal to get on the scoresheet though. This will be their tenth FA Cup match of the season and that explains why in mid-November they have only played six league fixtures. They are ninth in the table and yet to lose a league fixture this season, ten points behind the leaders but with five games in hand. The weekend saw them beat Erith & Belvedere 3-0 at home but before that they lost 4-1 to Baltham on home soil in the London Senior Cup.

Charlton Athletic are 11th in League One, five points behind the final promotion play-off position. They will be determined to make no mistakes this time and make their way into the second round. Since the first FA Cup game was played they have draw away at League One leaders Portsmouth. Athletic are unbeaten in their last three matches.and have only lost one of their last four games in the FA Cup. We believe they can get an away win here against the plucky non-leaguers. and move into the second round.
