Clermont are bottom of Pool 1 after the first set of games in the European Rugby Champions Cup. They bid to get off the mark when playing host to fourth-placed Sale Sharks who also lost their opening pool fixture. Read our match prediction below.
Stade Toulousain, Saracens and Glasgow Warriors are the top three in this pool, all with five points. Clermont didn't pick up any points from their opening 47-10 defeat away at Saracens. That continued the French club's poor away form this season.

The pressure will be on Sale to get something from this game as they also have to play Stade Toulousain away. All three of their away league games this season have ended in defeat, including conceding 65 points at Saracens.
