Christopher Eubanks vs Pedro Martinez Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Halle Open

Christopher Eubanks will want to build on the successful grass court season he had last year. He takes on fellow unseeded player Pedro Martinez in the first round of the Halle Open. For the winner, their second round opponent will be either seventh seed Alexander Bublik or qualifier Max Purcell. Eubanks reached the quarter-finals at Wimbledon last year with wins over Cameron Norrie and Stefanos Tsitsipas. He led Daniil Medvedev 2-1 in the last eight but was eventually beaten. The American is currenlty 44th in the live rankings but was as high as 29th last July. It's not been a great year so far for Eubanks and he lost in his first match in last week's BOSS Open in Stuttgart. That was his seventh consecutive defeat and he hasn't won since March. He leads Martinez 2-1 in previous meetings but this is their first grass court match.

Pedro Martinez has spent most of this year playing on clay. He's far more at home on that surface but did get to the third round at Wimbledon three years ago after two five-set wins. That's the only year in which the Spaniard has won two grass court matches in the same year. He's 46th in the live rankings and this is his first grass court tournament of the year. He only played one match on this surface last year, a first qualifying round loss at Wimbledon. That defeat to Hamad Medjedovic saw him win just one game. We tip Eubanks to get the win here.
