Chris Dobey arrives at the Ally Pally ranked eighth in the PDC Order of Merit and will be hoping to go one better here than last year, when he reached the semi-final of the Championships.
Hollywood has had an excellent year, winning three Players Championship titles, as well as reaching three quarters and a semi-final on the World Series. He also made his Premier League debut.
Dobey got to the quarter-final of the PC finals last month before bowing out to Luke Littler. He has won seven of his last 10 matches in all competitions.
Meanwhile, Xiaochen Zong qualified for this competition by winning the 2025 PDC China Championship. He is making his fifth Worlds appearance but has never won a match in this competition.
Zong was one of the standout performers on the Chinese ProTour circuit this year. In addition to winning the China Championship, he also clinched the China Premier League title, beating Lihao Wen 11-10.
However, the Pandaman has struggled to make an impact when stepping onto the international circuit, having lost each of his last seven such matches.
