Chris Dobey and Andrew Gilding will face off in Saturday’s evening session in Round 2 at the 2026 PDC World Darts Championship. The winner of this match between Hollywood and Goldfinger will meet either Luke Woodhouse or Max Hopp in the third round. Let’s get into the match prediction.

After a stunning performance to reach the semis last year, Chris Dobey got up and running at this World Championship with a fairly straightforward 3-1 victory over Xiaocheng Zong in the first round. 

Hollywood averaged an excellent 92.81 and pinned six 180s in that match. However, his checkout rate was average at 27.03%, including a highest checkout of only 76. 

Still, that result marked Dobey’s seventh win in his last 10 matches in all competitions. He has also won his last three against his upcoming opponent. 

Meanwhile, Andrew Gilding delivered on his favourites tag by defeating Cam Crabtree 3-1 in the opening round of the competition. He reached round three here at the Ally Pally last year. 

Goldfinger had one of the highest averages in the first round (97.89), which included three 180s. He was solid on the outer ring, converting 44% of attempts, including a highest checkout of 161. 

Gilding has split his last 10 matches, five wins and five losses, but has not beaten this opponent since the Players Championship 10 back in 2023.
