China and Haiti will face off on Friday in Group D of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Heading into the game, China are third and Haiti fourth. China lost by a solitary goal against Denmark in their opening group game. Another defeat will see them eliminated from the tournament with one game still left to play. Haiti are making their World Cup debut. The CONCACAF nation, ranked 53rd in the world, qualified for the tournament via the inter-continental playoffs. In their opener, Haiti held their nerve well against England and only conceded via a penalty in the 1-0 loss. They will hope to build on this as another loss here will see them eliminated from the tournament. To avoid this, Les Grenadières will hope to return to the form that saw them qualify for the tournament. They have been in woeful form, losing five matches on the trot. Haiti have struggled on both ends of the pitch. They have managed three goals in their last five matches, while at the same time conceding 12 goals.
