The Robins of Cheltenham Town will take on Matt Sadler’s Saddlers, league-leaders Walsall, in a key midweek match. What will our prediction be for this clash of two in-form teams?
Cheltenham Town manager Michael Flynn has seen an improvement in form from his team over the last few weeks. The Robins lie 11th in the table with 44 points from their 31 games and they have games in hand on the majority of teams around them. Walsall are currently well clear at the top of League Two, with 66 points from 32 games, eight ahead of Doncaster in second.
The Robins recent form has been excellent with just one league defeat in their last five and three wins in the last four. That includes a battling 3-2 win over Barrow in their last home game, where they came from 2-0 down to secure the win. Then, this past weekend, they trounced Newport County 3-0 away from home.
Despite being top of the table, Walsall did suffer a five-game run without a win recently. However, the Saddlers ended that run with a 3-1 home win over Chesterfield a couple of weeks back and then, last weekend came away with a 2-0 victory away to Morecambe, which extended their lead at the top of the table.
