Chelsea - Crystal Palace: Form Analysis
Chelsea went into last season as underdogs but made the most of it and they start this campaign with a completely different profile. The world champions will be looking to add to their cabinet the Premier League title, silverware they last won in 2016/17.
They have the personnel and quality to achieve that but there are fears fatigue may affect their early days. Chelsea have literally played through the summer and such a schedule could mean a slow start to the season in England.

That was the first time they stopped Chelsea from posting consecutive wins in this fixture in eight years. The Eagles will have reason to feel they can go a notch higher.

Chelsea have had a busy transfer window, bringing in at least 11 new players to bolster the team. Among the new names listed for the season, one sure starter is Joao Pedro.
The Brazilian has had a big impact since joining from Brighton. With Nicholas Jackson suspended for this game, Pedro will be an easy pick for Maresca. \
This forward line will also definitely have Cole Palmer, who scored 15 times in the league last season and was key in both the Conference League and Club World Cup. Defensively though, Levi Colwill, Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile are all ruled out.
