Montreal attempt to get back into winning ways with a home victory over Minnesota United. The home side are tenth in the Eastern Conference with the visitors seventh in the Western Conference. Montreal are two points behind the final play-off position but do have a game in hand. Recent games have not gone well though with only a point earned from their last two conference matches and defeat in the Canadian Championship. It could have been worse as they had to fight back from 2-0 down to earn a point at Dallas. That was followed by a 3-0 loss at Philadelphia making it just four points from ten away games. Home form is much better with five games won and a defeat by DC United in April. Of their 16 Conference games this season just six have been at home so when that levels up they should be in the play-off positions. Montreal have won their last four home MLS games and done so without conceding a goal. All of those wins had under 2.5 goals scored in them.

Minnesota United are in the play-off positions in the Western Conference but have gone three games without a win. They have won four of their nine away games but lost five. Home form hasn't been helping them with five out of seven being drawn. Current form has seen them draw at home with Real Salt Lake and Toronto but lose 2-1 at Austin. They also lost 4-0 at Houston in the US Open Cup so that's four games without a victory in all competitions. On the road their season began well with three wins in a row. However, since then they have lost five of the last six with 11 goals conceded. We go for Montreal to get the win in this MLS game.
