Raith Rovers' two-game winning streak in the Scottish Cup will be put to the test by a formidable Celtic FC at Celtic Park in the fifth round. Here's our match prediction.
Celtic FC stormed out of the gates to beat Dundee FC 6-0 at home in the rescheduled Scottish Premiership bout on Wednesday. Arne Engels and Daizen Maeda both scored a brace to help reestablish the team's 13-point cushion atop the table.
The Bhoys now focus on the Scottish Cup, where they booked their spot in the fifth round by defeating league counterparts Kilmarnock 2-1 at home.
Brendan Rodgers' men have been impressive in this competition as they've secured 11 consecutive wins - stretching to the previous editions - and should be able to win comfortably here.
Raith Rovers kick-started the new month on bad footing as they lost 3-1 away to Dunfermline Athletic, marking their third defeat in five Championship games.
In the Scottish Cup, the Rovers had to pass through Linlithgow Rose (0-4) and most recently league counterparts Falkirk, a team they had to beat 2-1 in regulation time to book their spot in the fifth round.
Their best appearance in this competition was when they reached the quarter-finals in the 2023 edition for the first time in eight years. However, they were eventually eliminated by Rangers losing 3-0 on the road.
