Vilar de Perdizes will take on Porto in the third round of the Taca de Portugal on Friday evening. The hosts are currently in sixth place in the Portuguese third division, while the visitors are third in the Primeira Liga. Vilar de Perdizes eased past Vasco da Gama Vidigueira 5-1 in the previous round. They come into this match off the back of a stalemate against Ribeirao, which extended their winless run to three league matches, including two draws and a loss. However, their home form is notably better. Perdizes are unbeaten in their last three on home soil while only losing once in their last ten. They have also scored in each of their last ten home games. Nevertheless, against the Portuguese giants, the hosts are likely to struggle in this one. 

Meanwhile, Porto will be starting their cup title defence in this one. They have won 14 consecutive matches in this competition dating back to March 2021. The visitors bounced back from consecutive losses with a 1-0 win over Portimonense before the international break. It is worth noting, though, those losses were against Benfica and Barcelona in the Champions League. Aside from those, the Dragons have won seven of their last ten matches in all competitions. This is the first time these sides will meet, but the Dragons are unsurprisingly massive favourites to win this match.
