Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates will face off at the  DHL Cape Town Stadium in the PSL on Wednesday afternoon. The hosts are currently sixth in the league standings, while the visitors are third. After an excellent first half of the season, things have gone awry for Cape Town City since the league resumed after the Africa Cup of Nations. They head into this match following a 1-1 draw at home to Golden Arrows on Sunday, a result that marked their ninth consecutive league match without a victory. The Citizens have not won a match since New Year's Eve when they beat cross-town rivals Cape Town Spurs. At home, City are winless in their last six matches (W0 D3 L3), which is in stark contrast to their form at the start of the campaign when they won four of their first five. The Buccaneers claimed a thumping 4-0 win over Royal AM over the weekend, which extended their recent winning streak to four matches in a row, while they are unbeaten in their last five in all competitions. That victory took them to 43 points after 25 games, three points behind Stellenbosch and four ahead of fourth-placed Sekhukhune United. Notably, Pirates’ attack has been on song of late, as they have found the net 16 times in their last four matches alone. The visitors are unbeaten in their last three away games and have a record of (W4 D5 L4) on the road this season.
