Cambridge United vs Plymouth Prediction & Betting Tips - League One

Relegation threatened Cambridge United host the leaders of League One, Plymouth Argyle. The home side are 20th in the table, one place and three points above the relegation zone. They have lost three of their last four league games and a form guide for the last five matches in League One has them in 21st place with only four points earned. Their last match saw United lose 2-1 at Forest Green Rovers who are one place below them in the table. United trailed 1-0 but scored an 89th minute equalizer. However, they still lost the game when their opponents scored from the penalty spot in the 93rd minute. At least they scored a goal though, they'd failed to do so in their previous three League One fixtures. After a bright start to the season their form has dipped dramatically since October. They lost six out of seven league games played in that month. 10 of their last 15 games in League One have been lost with 13 points earned. That's compared to the 36 that Plymouth have won in their last 15 matches. Cambridge United have won four out of 10 home league games this season but only scored nine goals. Just one point has been earned from their last six home league fixtures and not one goal scored. Their last league goal at the Abbey Stadium was on 3 September.

Plymouth lead the table by one point from Ipswich Town. They could do with a win though as the last three league games have produced two draws and last week's home loss to Port Vale. That home loss ended a run of nine straight league wins at Home Park this season. A form guide for the last five league matches has them in eighth with eight points. Their away form is nowhere near as impressive as that seen on home soil. They've won four out of 10 away league fixtures with only two defeats. They both came in successive away matches played in August. Since then, Argyle have gone seven away league games without defeat, though each of the last three have been drawn. Plymouth don't have any problems scoring in away fixtures with the last 11 seeing them get on the scoresheet and scoring at least twice in six of the last eight. Back them to get an away win here.
