Championship side Bristol City will meet Premier League opposition in the shape of Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup fourth round. Going into this Friday game, both sides are seeking a return to winning ways. Bristol drew with Watford in their last outing, a Championship game that left them 13 points above the relegation zone. It hasn’t been a great period for Bristol in the past few weeks, winning just once in six matches. That one win was however against Premier League opposition in the FA Cup. After a 1-1 away draw with West Ham United, they won 1-0 in the replay at home. In their second straight home game, they failed to build on that win, drawing with Watford. Their third straight home match presents the chance to register a third straight unbeaten home game. Six home wins in the last 10 matches would explain why Bristol will be happy to host this meeting.

Nottingham Forest had a losing outing in their last game, and for their second straight away game, will target a win. In a London derby, away to Brentford, Nottingham suffered a 3-2 loss despite taking an early lead in the game. They've rarely had comfortable outings in recent matches, though they have just one loss, and three wins in five matches. In the last round, Nottingham also had to go through a replay to see off League One side Blackpool. Facing a lower league side for the second straight game, they’ll have a reason to stay cautious. It took a Chris Wood goal after 110 minutes for Nottingham to see off Blackpool and set up this game. Nottingham Forest’s scoring run ahead of this game has been very impressive though. They’ve scored two or more goals in each of their last six matches, a run they’ll look to carry here.
