In-form Brighton and Hove Albion can reach the FA Cup semi-finals for only the second time in 40 years. They are up to seventh in the Premier League and host Grimsby Town who are 15th in League Two. The Seagulls are in top form at present and have won three of their last four games to nil. Only one of their last 12 league and cup games has ended in defeat. They last reached the FA Cup semi-finals in the 2018-19 season when losing to Manchester City. This season has seen them get wins at Middlesbrough and Stoke City and in round four they had a home win over cup holders Liverpool. Only one of their last eight FA Cup home ties has been lost. 

The FA Cup is all about giant-killing and it'd be a massive achievement for League Two Grimsby to reach the semi-finals and get to Wembley. The last three seasons has seen them fail to get past the first round proper  They are bidding to get into their third FA Cup semi-finals. The last one was also their previous run to the quarter finals and that was in 1939. Grimsby won promotion back to the EFL last season and are 15th at present in League Two. If they won their two games in hand, they'd only be five points behind the final promotion play-off spot. Grimsby have won their last two games and only lost once in eight matches. That includes their surprise 2-1 win at Premier League strugglers Southampton in the FA Cup fifth round. This season has seen them beat five teams and all have been from higher divisions. Every run has to come to an end sometime and Brighton can win this and lead at both half and full time.
