Matchday 33 in the English Premier League gets underway with seventh-place Brentford hosting 12th-placed Fulham in the early kickoff slot. The Bees are looking to strengthen their bid for European football, but will the Cottagers be able to throw a spanner in the works in this West London derby? Let’s get into the match prediction!
Brentford’s total of 47 points has them holding on to a Conference League position. They’re even on points with eighth-place Everton and trailing sixth-place Chelsea by just one point. Fulham, meanwhile, have slipped into the bottom half and now sit three points behind their opponents today.
It’s been Fulham who have gotten the better of Brentford in their recent meetings, winning the last three on the trot including a 3-2 away win in this fixture last season. However, it’s Keith Andrews’ Brentford that have been the better side in the current campaign; will they be able to break Fulham’s winning run against them?

Brentford - Fulham: Form Analysis
Brentford were forced to settle for a point in last weekend’s 2-2 home draw with Everton. They twice conceded the lead, ultimately giving up the equaliser in stoppage time.
This result extended Brentford’s unbeaten run in the Premier League to five games, although the last four straight have finished in stalemates. They’ll have to get back to winning ways if they want to tighten their grip on European qualification.
Brentford haven’t won at home since 07 January 2026 (D3, L2).
Despite that, there are still only three teams in the league that have lost less home matches than the Bees this season (Arsenal, Man City and Bournemouth). Brentford had a 7-3-1 home record before hitting a five-match winless run at the Gtech Community Stadium.
As for Fulham, they ended 2026 hoping to be where Brentford are now, as they trailed fifth place at the time by only three points.
However, four defeats in a five-game stretch in January-February ensured that the Cottagers would have to lower their expectations for the remainder of the campaign.
Currently, Fulham come into this match with only one victory in their last five games across all competitions. They were wasteful in front of goal in their last outing which resulted in them slumping to a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

Brentford & Fulham Squad Analysis
Brentford manager Keith Andrews is still dealing with a lengthy injury list which includes no fewer than seven players.
Jordan Henderson is out with a knock and is a doubt to take part on Saturday, as are Vitaly Janelt, Aaron Hickey and Rico Henry. They’re joined in the treatment room by Antoni Milambo and Fabio Carvalho, who are each recovering from cruciate ligament injuries.
Igor Thiago has been one of the top stories of the 2025-26 Premier League season.
Somewhat surprisingly, no Brazilian had previously managed to hit the 20-goal mark in a Premier League season before the 24-year-old. Thiago’s brace against Everton brought him up to 21 goals on the season, putting him just one goal behind topscorer Erling Haaland.
If Igor Thiago is the dangerman for the hosts, Harry Wilson is the main man for Fulham. He’s hit his highest ever goals total in the Premier League with 10 while adding another six assists as well.
Also playing an important part will be Alex Iwobi, who has been operating in a deeper role in the midfield double-pivot, allowing him to dictate the tempo for Fulham. Despite being on the losing end against Liverpool, Iwobi actually finished that match as the player with the most touches (90) among the two teams, while also finishing with 0.32 expected assists and creating a clear cut scoring chance for his side.
Marco Silva will be unable to call upon Harrison Reed, Kenny Tete and Kevin Santos.

Our Brentford vs Fulham Prediction
The reverse fixture played out as a 3-1 home win for Fulham and we’re expecting another high-scoring game here. This is a big opportunity for Brentford in their quest for European football and an in-form Igor Thiago who is coming off a brace last weekend, will be huge to their chances.
Fulham probably should have gotten on the scoresheet against Liverpool with the amount of chances they created. With the Brentford defence looking vulnerable on home soil as of late, the Cottagers should fancy their chances of finding the net. Our Brentford vs Fulham prediction: BTTS.

Brentford wins
Brentford have struggled lately to turn draws into wins lately, but their overall results at the Gtech cannot be ignored. The underlying numbers are also there for the hosts, as they are tied for first in big chances created and rank sixth in overall xG difference (+8.2). We’ll back them to take all three points.
